unhappiness is the distance between who we are and who we think we are i think of unhappiness as a form of longing a reaching for something in the near or far off future that is needed to complete us to make us happy and so we begin to see ourselves as something unlike our inner essence to justify our new selves to match what is needed to manifest the longing this leads to a protected self that is far different than the essence this separation creates tension the farther that artificial self stretches from the essence a separation from god of sorts to survive the protected self compromises itself from the essence this creates excuses and a lot of guilt but the essence is us at our perfectness in our own way with our unique personalities tossed in the essence is what great spiritual leaders practiced years to attain to become the essence again the essence is never destroyed but it becomes covered in layers like layers of winter clothing over the ye...
